FIELDS CLEAN-UP DAY

Fields Clean-up Day at the Los Cerritos fields is this Saturday, Feb 11th, 9am-12pm.  Each team needs to provide a volunteer during this time to help prepare the fields for the 2012 season.  The snack shack needs a cleaning as do the equipment sheds.  The fields need weeds removed, stands and dugouts washed out, and more.  The fields will not be available for team practices.  Bring gloves and clothing you won't mind getting dirty.  


TEAM PARENT MEETING

The mandatory Team Parent Meeting will be held this Sunday, Feb 12th, 5pm-7pm, at the Boys & Girls Club on the Los Cerritos Middle School campus.  Team Parents and/or Team Managers are required to attend.  The meeting for Team Parents of the 6U division will run from 5pm to 6pm.  The meeting for the Team Parents of the 8U, 10U, 12U and 14U divisions will run from 6pm to 7pm.


PITCHING CLINICS

TOGSA will be hosting 2 pitching clinics for players interested in pitching.  First, you must reserve a spot by contacting the Director of Coaching & Clinics, Rick Agnetti.  After you have secured a spot, don't forget to bring someone along that will catch for the player during the pitching clinic (bring a bucket for the catcher to sit on).

Pitching Clinic #1:  Saturday, Feb 4th, 12-2pm, run by Kathy Ayala.
6U and 8U division pitchers from 12-1pm.
10U, 12U, and 14U division pitchers from 1pm-2pm.

Pitching Clinic #2:  Sunday, Feb 12th, 12-2pm, run by Doug Gove.
6U and 8U division pitchers from 12-1pm.
10U, 12U, and 14U division pitchers from 1pm-2pm.



IMPORTANT DATE CHANGE

Championship Games and Closing Day Ceremonies will now be held on Saturday, May 5th.  Make sure to update your calendar.


FACEMASKS FOR SALE

Defense Infield Facemasks will be available at near cost for players who need them in the mandatory 6U Division and 8U positions as well as anyone else who wants them.  Some parents have already pre-ordered.  We will have about 17 more available.  Please email Gayle Snyder-Voth if you would like to purchase a facemask for $33.00.  And arrange for pick up from Gayle at the 10U field on Tuesday, Friday, or Sunday.


DISCOUNT COUPONS

Dick's Sporting Goods is providing the TOGSA league with 10% off coupons.
  The 10% off coupons are good for various sports equipment like bats, gloves, and cleats.  These coupons are good until 12/31/2012 so if you don't use them now hold onto them for later.


LATE REGISTRATION

Any additional 6U, 8U, and 10U division players planning on registering late should contact the Player Agent for more information.  12U and 14U division players are encouraged to register online.

Opening Day festivities ~ Saturday, February 25th.
Picture Day ~ Sunday, February 26th. (schedule).
Closing Day and Championships ~ Saturday, May 5th.

RECYCLE YOUR OLD EQUIPMENT

Bring in your old equipment! Those old bats, gloves and other items may no longer work for you, but they can provide new, younger, or less fortunate players with much needed equipment. Just drop off your items at the Snack Shack. Any items not picked up by our league families will be donated to charity.
